Multitrack recording with the Behringer U-Phoria UMC404HD and Ardour (Linux), Mixcraft (Windows) and Audacity (Windows) is very easy to do (once you know how to connect it and what driver to install when using Windows). I got this device as a birthday present and made a video about it, trying to answer this one question I’ve read the most in comments on Youtube “can it record 4 tracks at once?”. This makes it a perfect fit for any small studio or bands wanting to do some demo recording without breaking the bank! It’s a step up from the cheapest models with Xenyx pre-amps. The 4 inputs all have 48v Phantom power and are equipped with fantastic “dead silent” Midas pre-amps. It doesn't show up in the Windows 10 Sound Preferences. I've checked everywhere for a semblance of connection to the device. I've tried doing this (multiple times) and the device is never detected. Whenever I re-install the driver, I get confirmation of successful install, then a pop-up appears when I try to click 'Finish' saying that I need to disconnect and reconnect the Audio Interface to finish the install. My computer is running Windows 10, I have the device plugged directly into my PC, and I'm using the latest version of the Behringer Audio Driver from the UMC404HD product page. I've been trying for two days to get my UMC404HD Audio Interface to connect to my computer, and it won't freaking work.
